Huddersfield Town skipper heaps praise on new manager

Huddersfield Town captain Christopher Schindler has hailed the influence of new management duo Danny and Nicky Cowley.

The Terriers have gone into this international break on the back of back-to-back wins having beaten Stoke City away and Hull City at home.

The Cowley brothers, who left League One side Lincoln City for the Yorkshire side last month, have already lifted their new side out of the relegation zone in the Championship.

Schindler has praised the new management set-up, as per their official club website: “It feels different on the pitch now, it feels solid. There’s a base where everybody knows what to do, especially in the defensive shape.”

“We are harder to break down, we deflect the crosses a lot better now, but we shouldn’t get too carried away by this because we know how hard we worked to have this run and how much we suffered in the first weeks. We have a lot to improve but we can be happy now for the moment.”

He added: “When Danny and Nicky came in, you could feel that they could do it (change the spirit in the dressing room). The way they talk to you, the way they work on things in detail. They are doing a tremendous job and I hope we can progress. We still have to work hard.”

Huddersfield travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers next weekend and will be eager to continue their recent renaissance.
